Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation and use of the ELT Excellence Awards platform, accessible from eltexcellenceawards.gr. By participating in the awards or using the website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Eligibility

1.1. The ELT Excellence Awards are open to individuals and organisations involved in English Language Teaching (ELT), including educators, trainers, institutions, and related professionals.

1.2. Participants must meet the specific criteria outlined in each award category, which can be found on the eltexcellenceawards.gr website.

1.3. Submission of entries is open to both domestic and international participants, subject to the eligibility requirements of each category.

2. Entry Submission

2.1. All entries must be submitted through the online platform available at eltexcellenceawards.gr by the specified deadline.

2.2. Entries must be original and relevant to the award category for which they are submitted. Any plagiarism or unauthorised use of third-party material will result in immediate disqualification.

2.3. Participants must provide accurate and truthful information during the submission process. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

2.4. The submission of an entry implies that the participant grants the ELT Excellence Awards permission to use their submitted materials, including but not limited to promotional activities related to the awards.

3. Judging Process

3.1. Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges appointed by the ELT Excellence Awards. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding the outcome.

3.2. Judging criteria for each category will be clearly defined on eltexcellenceawards.gr. Criteria may include innovation, effectiveness, creativity, and impact in the field of ELT.

3.3. Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed by the judges. Participants who have personal or professional connections with a judge may still submit entries, but these will be assessed with full transparency and impartiality.

4. Awards and Recognition

4.1. Winners will receive recognition through awards, certificates, or other forms of acknowledgement as determined by the ELT Excellence Awards committee.

4.2. Awards are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other forms of compensation.

4.3. Winners will be publicly announced on eltexcellenceawards.gr and through other official communication channels. By participating, winners consent to the use of their names, photographs, and other details in promotional materials.

5. Fees and Payment

5.1. Participation fees, where applicable, must be paid during the submission process. Details regarding fees for each category will be outlined on eltexcellenceawards.gr.

5.2. Fees are non-refundable, except in cases where the submission is disqualified due to non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1. All submitted entries remain the intellectual property of the participants. However, by submitting an entry, participants grant the ELT Excellence Awards the right to use, publish, and display their submissions in connection with the awards, marketing, and promotional purposes.

6.2. Participants must ensure that all submitted content, including text, images, and multimedia, does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

7.1. The ELT Excellence Awards is committed to protecting the privacy of participants. Personal data collected during the submission process will be used only for the purposes of administering the awards and communicating with participants.

7.2. All personal data will be handled in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, and detailed privacy information is available in the Privacy Policy at eltexcellenceawards.gr.

8. Disqualification

8.1. The ELT Excellence Awards reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches these Terms and Conditions or engages in conduct deemed inappropriate, including but not limited to fraudulent activity, plagiarism, or non-compliance with eligibility criteria.

8.2. Disqualified participants will not be eligible for a refund of any fees paid.

9. Changes to the Terms

9.1. The ELT Excellence Awards reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on eltexcellenceawards.gr and will take effect immediately.

9.2. Continued participation in the awards after such changes implies acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.

10. Governing Law

10.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hellenic Republic.

10.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Greece.
