At Epikinonia, we don’t just learn English – we live English! Our events are the foundation of our educational philosophy, transforming language acquisition into an immersive, experiential journey that strengthens knowledge, inclusion, and community spirit. Creating Unforgettable Learning Experiences
Theatrical Performances in English Students take part in full-scale productions such as “Elf” and “The Chronicles of Christmas”, engaging in role-playing, rehearsals, and expressive storytelling. These performances enhance language fluency, confidence, and creativity, making English feel natural and fun.
English Outside the Box – Experiential Learning Our signature English Outside the Box program redefines education through hands-on workshops and interactive sessions. Activities such as “Young Picasso” integrate art and language, while “Homemade Lava Lamp” brings science and English together through engaging experiments. These events stimulate curiosity, problem-solving skills, and language retention, fostering a passion for lifelong learning.
Seasonal Festivities and Competitions To make language learning even more engaging, we host seasonal events like the Christmas Song Contest & Red Day, where students perform and compete in creative storytelling and music, reinforcing pronunciation and vocabulary while building confidence. The Easter Egg Hunt in Alsos Veikou allows students to interact in English while engaging in a beloved tradition. Promoting Inclusion and Diversity
Odd Socks Day – Embracing Differences In this annual event, students wear mismatched socks to celebrate diversity and engage in meaningful discussions about inclusion. Through storytelling and open conversations, they learn to embrace uniqueness and reject discrimination.
We’ve All Got Rights – English Outside the Box This interactive workshop introduces students to human rights, equality, and social justice, making them aware of important global issues. Through engaging discussions and creative projects, they express their opinions in English, improving both their linguistic and critical thinking skills.
Encouraging Inclusive Participation Our activities are designed to engage all learners, regardless of language proficiency. Events incorporate visual, auditory, and kinesthetic elements, ensuring every student feels included and capable of fully participating. Strengthening Community Bonds
Christmas Caroling for a Cause Every December, our students spread holiday cheer by singing Christmas carols on the streets of Galatsi, raising funds for charities. This event fosters a sense of giving, unity, and joy, while allowing students to practice English in a meaningful real-world setting.
Voluntary Blood Donation Initiative Through the Epikinonia Blood Donation Association, we inspire students, parents, and staff to give back to society. This initiative teaches students about social responsibility and the power of community action.
Parent-Student Engagement We actively involve families in our educational journey through activities such as Sweet Tales and Sweet Melodies & Chocolate Magic!, where parents and students create memories while learning English together. Conclusion At Epikinonia, learning is an experience, diversity is celebrated, and community is cherished. Our innovative approach ensures that English is not just taught but lived. Through these dynamic, immersive events, students develop confidence, creativity, and a deep connection to language. Our participation in the ELT Excellence Awards is an opportunity to share this vision and inspire other educators to adopt learning methodologies that do not just educate… but transform lives!
