Nomination Description

When I feel learners have sufficient practice and support, I move on more challenging task. I show learners how to carry on a conversation even they don’t know certain words, how to read Text without knowing every single Word. I guide them to find resources for practising writing such as letters to a foreign partner. This year they’re communicating with Brezialian and Portuguese students. They take part in Etwinning projects so they have a chance to develop their English Language skills and learn about other countries’ cultures. We use Web2 tools  such as Wordwall.net, Canva,Educaplay, Padlet, Read book creator in our classes. By using Technology in our class learning becomes more meaningful. I assign home work Using digital tool Quiziz so out of the school learning goes on. I allow sts to choose their own partners for collaboratıve work.

I allow them to choose their speaking topic. I try to conect My lessons to their indivudual interest and experiences. This also enchance motivation. For example, most of them are interested in drawing pictures and they create Snapwords related our topics. Time to time we listen to music and do some exercises about the song. I sometimes use Voscreen in My lessons so they have a chance to hear from a foreign one.

I love teaching through games Especially grammar topics. I usually use digital tools, sometimes I create My own ones. While playing students both learn and enjoy. Sometimes we have Competitıons. At the end of the games I praise their accomplishments. I give stickers, certificates to whom win. If it is needed I bring real materials to my classes. For instance, in 8th grade we have unit :”in the kitchen ” I bring kitchen tools into the class room. In 5th grade, we have Party unit. In that unit we have a party and try to speak English(we revise vocabulary, use suggestion structure). We have ” Sports””unit and we go outside to our School garden and My students bring equipments related to sports and they make sentences such as ‘I can play basketball, I’ m interested in skateboarding..”
